East Lancashire Table Tennis League

We are getting back to Table Tennis

Starting  Monday 17th August

We are gradually making our way back to “normal” table tennis availability. Table Tennis England have recommended a staged return to play taking into account government guidelines etc.  Hyndburn Leisure Centre is also restricted in their processes by the same guidances.

We have been discussing with the Leisure Centre what programmes we can safely pursue. At the moment we can only use the Centre during the day on 

Monday and Thursday

Session 1 11 am - 12 25 pm .

Session 2 12.35 pm  - 2 pm

We are looking to extend this using 

Saturday 12 am - 3 pm

This will depend on staff availability

The area that we use has been made as safe as possible with the following measures being adopted, e.g,

• Only 6 tables are in use (only 12 people can play in each session),
• Social distancing is maintained. Masks are worn when not playing’
• A one way system is employed. Entry via the fire exit at the rear of the centre,
• All tables and equipment are cleaned before and after a session,
• Players should only use their own equipment and balls should be cleaned beforehand.
• No doubles will be played

A full operational plan will be posted on the website and in the Centre

The sessions will be divided into 2 sessions of 85 minute duration with a 10 minute break in between to do additional cleaning. The sessions will have to be prebooked via Clubspark. You will have to register; to do this register at

It does not cost you anything to do this. Subs will be collected (£2 per 90 min session) It is important that you bring the right change. 

You must book or entry will be refused

Obviously you need two players to play; only one need make a booking.When you book you can only select 1 x 90 minute sessions on the date specified.

On entry you will be asked 

Your name and contact details and whether you or your family have been in contact with anyone having covid symptons in the last 14 days.  This is for Track and Trace purposes which we have to maintain and pass to the Centre after every session.
